Vietnam, China Seek Stronger Cooperation on Agricultural Exports and High-Tech Sector

Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc has called for deeper economic cooperation with China, specifically urging the facilitation of Vietnamese agricultural exports and enhanced collaboration in high-tech sectors. Tuc requested that China streamline the export process for Vietnamese agricultural products and strengthen cooperation in plant and animal quarantine measures. Furthermore, he called for the early signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to designate Vietnam as the featured country for the "Shared Big Market: Export to China Series Activities" scheduled for 2027. This initiative aims to expand market access for Vietnamese goods in China and solidify bilateral trade relations. Vietnam, under its one-party system, continues to pursue economic growth, with exports serving as a crucial pillar of its economy. Agricultural products are among Vietnam's primary exports, and with China being its largest trading partner, cooperation in this sector holds significant importance for the Vietnamese economy.
