Pailin Province Holds Meeting on Progress of Online Scam Prevention Campaign

On July 20, 2026, H.E. Dr. Ban Sreymom, Governor of Pailin Province and Chair of the Provincial Administrative Unity Command, led a meeting to review the progress of the campaign to prevent online scams (Online Scams) in the province. The meeting aimed to ensure security and order for the citizens. Dr. Ban Sreymom stated that the work to prevent online scams is a top priority and a crucial task for the authorities and law enforcement forces at all levels. She emphasized that it requires everyone to pay high attention and take responsibility to address this issue effectively, in accordance with the directives of the Royal Government led by H.E. Dr. Hun Manet, Prime Minister. The provincial governor further clarified, "The continuation of the campaign to prevent and crack down on online scam crimes in Cambodia is aimed at strengthening the implementation of social security, order, and public discipline, in line with the necessary measures of the Royal Government. We must pay high attention to managing safety in residential areas, checking the residency of foreigners, and casino locations to prevent foreigners from illegally residing in the province and to effectively combat various crimes, especially online scams." On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Ban Sreymom highly praised and valued the Provincial Administrative Unity Command, municipalities, districts, and local authorities for their diligent and responsible work, which has yielded excellent results.
