Vietnam's NA Chairman Strengthens Ties During Official Visit to Mongolia

Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man held talks with Mongolian Parliament Speaker Sandag Byambatsogt in Ulaanbaatar on September 10, as part of his official visit to Mongolia. During the meeting, both leaders shared the view that Vietnam and Mongolia are "special and very important friends and partners" to each other. This statement reflects the traditional friendly relations between the two countries and the deepening of their economic and political cooperation in recent years. Specifically, the expansion of cooperation in the economic field was emphasized. It is expected that cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and infrastructure development will be strengthened. The promotion of exchanges in culture, education, and tourism was also confirmed, with expectations for deeper mutual understanding between the peoples of both countries. This visit is seen as part of Vietnam's foreign policy under its one-party system, aiming to maintain and develop friendly relations within the region and the international community. Amidst complex relations with China, Vietnam is also seeking geopolitical balance by strengthening ties with Southeast Asian countries, including Mongolia, and Central Asian nations. Prior to the talks, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, spouse of Chairman Man, met with Mrs. Gantsetseg Tsendsuren, spouse of the Mongolian Parliament Speaker. Furthermore, Chairman Man interacted with the Vietnamese community residing in Mongolia, encouraging their activities.
