Nearly 1,000 High School Students Visit Vocational Institute in Takeo

Nearly 1,000 high school students from various high schools in Takeo province visited the Techo Sen Takeo Regional Polytechnic Institute to learn about Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, modern learning equipment, and future career and employment opportunities. The visit was organized with the aim of helping students gain a clearer understanding of their choices for skill acquisition, enhance their preparedness for making decisions about further studies, and set career paths in line with their abilities, interests, and the actual demands of the labor market. Mr. Sun Mesa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, stated that this visit provides an opportunity for high school students to directly observe the study areas, laboratories, and practical workshops, and to learn about practical training and modern equipment that meets the needs of the industrial sector. He added, "This is an opportunity for high school students to learn about the many specialized skill choices available, acquire skills in a short period, and explore career options that create their own life choices, as well as to showcase modern equipment and the government's potential in promoting skilled labor training." Concurrently, the institute's team presented and disseminated information about the government's scholarship programs under the TVET training program. They also provided detailed information on priority vocational fields, enrollment conditions, benefits of studying, internship opportunities at enterprises and private companies, and job prospects after graduation to high school students from schools including Angkorkar, Ang Sangke, Wat Baray, Thnal Banteak, Khsach Sa, Prey Melong, Samdech Ou, Kdei Tnum, and Sok An Soben High Schools. Furthermore, students actively participated in asking questions, exchanging opinions, and learning about study experiences, campus life, and capacity development opportunities.
