Bangkok to Host World Travel & Culture Expo 2026 to Spur Tourism, Trade, and Investment

Bangkok is set to host the World Travel & Culture Expo 2026 (WTCE 2026) from October 29-31 at IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani. Organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT), and Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group, the event aims to boost tourism, trade, and investment, reinforcing Thailand's pivotal role as an ASEAN hub for tourism and entertainment. Industry leaders and government officials, including Mr. Pasakorn Rangsiwatanasak, attended the launch, underscoring the expo's significance for economic growth driven by tourism, culture, sport, and entertainment. The event's timing coincides with the 50th anniversary of Thailand-China diplomatic relations, aligning with China's expansionist policies. TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool highlighted that WTCE 2026 supports sustainable tourism, focusing on quality experiences and strategic partnerships. The expo will feature specialized exhibitions on amusement parks, billiards, and film technology, providing platforms for knowledge exchange and business cooperation. This builds on the success of the 2025 edition, which facilitated global brand connections and achieved high success in business negotiations. Strengthening ties with China, Thailand's top international market, is a key focus. Thailand anticipates over 5.13 million Chinese visitors in 2026, a significant contributor to tourism revenue. A panel discussion on "Future Trends of Tourism" explored topics such as sustainability, safety, and immersive technologies. WTCE 2026 aims to convert existing market strengths into broader opportunities, solidifying Thailand's position as a gateway between ASEAN and global markets through innovative and culturally rich experiences.
