Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism and ACLEDA Bank Ink MoU for e-Payment Services

ACLEDA Bank Plc. has officially announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Tourism on “The Provision of ACLEDA Bank Plc.’s Services for Public Service Fee Collection via Electronic Payment System (e-Payment).” This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and modernization of public services within the tourism sector. The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Tourism under the high presidency of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Dr. In Channy, President & Group Managing Director of ACLEDA Bank Plc., with the participation of high ranking leaders and officials from the Ministry of Tourism and senior management from ACLEDA Bank Plc. This agreement aims to streamline public service payment processes in the tourism sector, making them more convenient, fast, and secured in line with the Royal Government of Cambodia’s digital government policy. Key Objectives and Benefits are as below: • Convenience for Tourism Operators: Businesses, operators, and the general public can easily pay for tourism licenses and public service fees through digital channels, including ACLEDA Mobile (The ACLEDA Super App), ACLEDA Internet Banking, Online Payment Systems including X-Pay, Deeplink Mini App, KHQR, MPGS System (International Payment Gateway for bill payments) and Over-the-Counter at any ACLEDA Bank branch or operating office nationwide. • Transparency and Efficiency: Reduce cash transactions, enhance transparency, and minimize waiting times. • Supporting Digital Transformation: Drives the adoption of financial technology within public institutions to align with the digital economy and social framework. This cooperation marks a crucial step forward in modernizing the Ministry of Tourism’s public services by integrating leading financial technology to serve citizens and business owners with higher efficiency and security.
