Mrs. Bun Rany Hun Sen, along with her relatives and the wives of high-ranking officials, visited eight temples in Kroch Chhmar district, Tboung Khmum province on Monday, July 20, 2026. She donated Vassa candles and alms to the monks residing in these temples for their three-month Vassa retreat. The temples that received the donations include Ampovan Temple, Hluong Kandal Temple, Chumnik Temple, Nakvan Temple (Village 5), Chhuk Temple, Teum Chhrey Temple, Ampil Temple, and Sophoankaley Temple. Mrs. Bun Rany Hun Sen is the esteemed wife of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and also serves as the President of the Cambodian Red Cross. This religious ceremony highlights Cambodia's deep-rooted Buddhist traditions and the continued support for religious practices within the community. The Vassa period is a significant time for monks in Cambodia, as they dedicate themselves to intensive study and meditation within their temples.
