President Prabowo Heads to Kalimantan to Directly Oversee Forest Fire Response

President Prabowo departed for Kalimantan on August 22, 2026, to directly lead the response to forest and land fires (Karhutla). He has instructed top TNI and Polri officials to work with local governments and communities in tackling the fires across four affected Kalimantan provinces.
