Pattaya Cracks Down on Illegal Parking and Unauthorized Business Use of Public Spaces

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City has stepped up enforcement along Pattaya Beach, targeting illegal parking and the unauthorized use of public parking spaces by vehicle rental businesses as part of an ongoing campaign to improve public order and safety. Municipal enforcement officers, working alongside police and other relevant agencies, are conducting regular patrols and strictly enforcing regulations to reclaim public spaces for residents and tourists. Authorities reminded motorists that parking is prohibited in red-and-white curb zones, with violators facing fines under Thai law. Officials also warned that public parking spaces cannot be reserved, occupied or used for commercial purposes, including operating vehicle rental businesses without authorization. Anyone found using public areas for private business will face legal action. The campaign aims to ensure fair access to public parking, enhance traffic management and improve safety and order along Pattaya Beach.
