West Sumatra Regional Council Member Arrested in Rp 34 Billion Corruption Case After 5 Months on the Run

West Sumatra Regional Council (DPRD) member Beni Saswin Nasrun, who had been a fugitive for five months on corruption charges, has been apprehended in Jakarta. He is suspected of involvement in a Rp 34 billion corruption scheme related to working capital loans and bank guarantees for cement distribution by a state-owned bank.
