Khmer Performers Unite for Charity Concert Benefiting Kunta Bouppa Children's Hospital
A large-scale charity concert will be held in Cambodia to support the operations of the Kunta Bouppa Children's Hospital. Renowned singers and hosts will participate to raise funds for saving children's lives. The hospital requires approximately $120,000 daily to operate, making continuous support essential.
The Morodok Techo National Stadium, in collaboration with the Kunta Bouppa Cambodia Foundation and private sector partners, will host a grand charity concert themed "One Heart, One Voice, For Kunta Bouppa" on July 25th at the stadium. This meaningful event is organized under the high recommendations of Her Excellency Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Honorary President of the Kunta Bouppa Cambodia Foundation, with the aim of raising funds to support and ensure the continuity of the Kunta Bouppa Hospital's operations. The charity concert will feature the enthusiastic participation of renowned singers including Ms. Pich Solika, Ms. Kaô Sophya, Mr. Manut, Mr. Ek Montree, and Doctor Tong, along with three outstanding hosts: Mr. Yara, Mr. Vit, and Mr. Sok Rasy. Mr. Khien Thuk, Head of Public Relations for the Kunta Bouppa Cambodia Foundation, stated that the three Kunta Bouppa Hospital locations (two in Phnom Penh and one in Siem Reap) require approximately $120,000 USD per day (equivalent to about $45 to $46 million USD per year) to provide free, high-quality, and non-discriminatory medical examinations and treatments for infants, children, and pregnant women. He further clarified that although the third "10,000 Riel, 10,000 People" campaign in June 2026 received substantial donations exceeding $6.3 million USD from approximately 350,000 philanthropists, the actual needs arise daily, as children's illnesses do not wait for such campaigns. The foundation's representatives earnestly appeal to the public, especially the youth, to actively purchase tickets for this charity concert to demonstrate solidarity and mutual support as fellow Cambodians. Tickets for the charity concert are currently available for purchase through the booking systems of partner companies. The organizing committee strongly hopes for significant support from citizens across the country.
