Cambodia Explains New Tariffs on US Imports Following Section 301 Investigation

On the afternoon of Monday, July 27, 2026, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) organized a significant press conference on "New tariff rates on imports from Cambodia to the United States after the compliance investigation of Section 301 of the U.S. Trade Act." The objective was to provide comprehensive, clear, and transparent information to the public, investors, business people, and national and international media. The press conference was led and honored by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the CDC. He was joined by H.E. Sim Sokheng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, and Mr. Chan Sophath, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
