NPIA Provides 1,450 Scholarships for Poor and Vulnerable Families in Siem Reap

The National Polytechnic Institute of Angkor (NPIA) has announced the provision of 1,450 scholarships for vocational training targeting underprivileged and vulnerable youth in Siem Reap province. This initiative is part of the government's broader "1.5 Million Vocational Training Program (TVET 1.5 million)" officially launched by Prime Minister Hun Manet on November 14, 2023. The scholarships cover training in seven vocational fields: water pipe installation, building electrical wiring installation, home air conditioning services, automotive maintenance and repair, pastry making, beverage business, and masonry. These fields were selected based on their relevance to Cambodia's economic development and job market demands. According to NPIA, new courses are scheduled to commence in August, and registration is now open.
