Cambodian Senate President Meets UN Human Rights Special Rapporteur
Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen met with UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Thomas Andrews in Phnom Penh on July 22, 2026. Andrews is visiting Cambodia to assess the human rights situation.
On the morning of July 22, 2026, Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen received Thomas Andrews, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia, for a courtesy call at the Senate's Solidarity Palace. It is noted that Mr. Thomas Andrews is currently visiting Cambodia to assess the human rights situation. During this visit, he is scheduled to meet with Cambodian leaders, relevant officials, and also civil society organizations.
