Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An (Vice President of the Cambodian Veterans and Retired Soldiers Association) visited Rong Cham village in Svay Chek district, Banteay Srei province on the morning of September 5, 2026, to meet and offer encouragement to displaced residents living in the area. The visit aimed to assess their living conditions and provide support. The meeting also saw the participation of Madam Mao Malai (Sirikolana Putumalyn, Great Benefactor, Doctor), HE Um Ratry (Governor of Banteay Srei province) and his wife, along with numerous leaders from various levels, members of the three armed forces, the Banteay Srei provincial branch of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development, and provincial officials. During the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An expressed her deep emotion and admiration for the resilient spirit of all displaced residents. She noted their efforts in organizing their homes neatly and cultivating various crops around their residences, enhancing the beauty of the surroundings, all under the careful attention of the provincial administration. Furthermore, residents are engaged in small-scale trading from their homes to generate income and support their families during these difficult times. The Deputy Prime Minister earnestly urged the displaced residents to place their trust in the government's leadership, emphasizing that the government always stands by its people and will continue to strive to resolve all difficulties and meet the essential needs of the residents in a timely manner.
