Hun Many Highlights Intergenerational Value Transfer in 'Living Heritage: January 7 Values' Lecture Series

Hun Many, Secretary-General of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), views the lecture series 'Living Heritage: January 7 Values' as a bridge connecting intergenerational values. This initiative aims to strengthen national prosperity and the future by linking the knowledge and experience of past leaders with the energy and innovation of the next generation. Mr. Many made these remarks during an open forum on the life and real experiences of HE Khieu Kanharith, held as part of the 'Living Heritage: January 7 Values' series at the January 7 Memorial Hall on the morning of September 6, 2026. He emphasized that the experience and wisdom of senior leaders are 'lessons' that no school can fully teach, and can only be acquired by having the opportunity to listen and learn directly from 'living witnesses' of history. The sharing of practical experiences, especially the fundamental aspects of governance, leadership, and problem-solving, provides the younger generation of party cadres with the opportunity to hear and converse directly about Cambodia's historical journey. Mr. Many added that this forum serves as a mechanism to cultivate consciousness and gratitude, and to awaken the spirit of the younger generation to clearly understand the heroic models of leaders in the cause of the Party, nation, and people. Furthermore, it contributes to strengthening the Party's unified view by connecting leaders of past and present generations, thereby fostering intergenerational understanding, sharing, and solidarity for the learning, research, training, inspiration, and succession of the Party's future generations.
