Vietnam Renews Commitment to War Dead Remembrance and Economic Growth

In the Vinh Linh area of central Vietnam's Quang Tri province, July is observed as a "Month of Gratitude," deepening sentiments of remembrance and appreciation for those who sacrificed their lives for the nation's peace. This spirit of gratitude is being carried forward by the Vinh Linh Party Committee, government, and residents through concrete acts of "benevolence and compassion." Notably, Quang Tri province has seen active commemoration activities for fallen soldiers. The Ministry of Public Security and the 4th Military Region Command have also held ceremonies to honor heroes and martyrs in this region. Furthermore, information regarding undiscovered mass graves near the province's border has prompted search operations. Recently, the remains of two fallen soldiers were discovered and solemnly commemorated and buried. Quang Tri province, with such a historical backdrop, is currently setting ambitious economic growth targets. The province is in its final stages of efforts to achieve its high goal of double-digit growth. This can be seen as part of the national strategy under the one-party system, where Vietnam aims to improve the lives of its people through economic development, overcoming past hardships. As a socialist republic, Vietnam has made numerous sacrifices for national independence and unification. The July commemoration month serves as an opportunity to enhance national patriotism and solidarity, while also demonstrating a strong will for economic development. Particularly, amidst the complex relationship with China, the stance of strengthening domestic unity and pursuing economic independence is a crucial element in Vietnam's foreign and security policies.
