Dong Nai Rubber Industry Honors Skilled Workers, Aims for Over 32,000 Tons
Dong Nai Rubber Corporation hosted its "Golden Hands" competition to honor skilled workers and reaffirmed its commitment to exceeding 32,000 tons of rubber production. This highlights Vietnam's drive for technological innovation and productivity in its agricultural economy.
On July 17th, in Dong Nai City, Dong Nai Rubber Corporation organized the "Golden Hands" rubber latex harvesting competition for 2026. This year's competition saw 48 outstanding skilled workers, selected from thousands of harvesting laborers, compete. Among them were 14 workers from ethnic minority groups from the northern mountainous provinces. The event underscores the importance of technical expertise in the rubber industry and aims to boost productivity. Dong Nai Rubber Corporation seeks to enhance worker motivation through this competition and promote more efficient and sustainable rubber production methods. The participation of workers from ethnic minority groups highlights the significance of inclusivity in Vietnam's economic development. Vietnam is a leading global rubber producer, and the rubber industry plays a crucial role in its economy. Under state-led economic policies within its one-party system, the industry has continued to grow. While maintaining strong economic ties with China, Vietnam is also exploring supply chain diversification and moving towards higher value-added products. This competition is positioned as part of a broader effort to enhance the technical capabilities of Vietnam's agricultural sector and strengthen its competitiveness in the global market, beyond just a skills contest. Dong Nai Rubber Corporation plans to focus on such talent development and technological innovation to achieve its goal of producing over 32,000 tons of rubber annually. Source: Nhan Dan
