Banteay Meanchey Governor Um Ratry has issued strict instructions to all authorities under his command, emphasizing the need to stay close to citizens and resolve all pressing issues in a timely manner, stating, "Minor problems must never be allowed to escalate into major ones." These directives were given during an urgent working meeting held on the afternoon of July 7, 2026, at the provincial hall in Banteay Meanchey. The important meeting was attended by provincial vice-governors, commanders and deputy commanders of the three branches of forces (Army, Gendarmerie, and Police), city/district governors, commune/sangkat chiefs, village chiefs, and numerous relevant ministry officials and civil servants to jointly review the general situation and formulate immediate measures.
