Banglamung District Chief Inspects Flood-Prone Areas in Khao Mai Kaew, Pushes Relief Efforts

BANGLAMUNG, Chonburi: September 25th, 2026: Banglamung District Chief Anusak Phiriyamorn on Friday morning inspected flood-risk sites in Khao Mai Kaew after heavy rain triggered flash flooding along canals that straddle the Chon Buri–Rayong border. With more rain coming this weekend, the district chief pushed for enhanced relief efforts for residents. At 10 a.m., Mr. Anusak joined Khao Mai Kaew Municipality Mayor Jamnian Keetheepakun, municipal officials, and local representatives to assess the situation in areas prone to flooding. The region, situated along canals that cross the border between Chon Buri and Rayong provinces, has frequently experienced inundation in recent years due to intense rainfall. During the inspection, the district chief emphasized the need for ensuring the safety of residents and the swift implementation of rescue operations. Discussions focused on measures to minimize the impact on low-lying homes and infrastructure. He also directed that the alert level be raised and emergency response plans be reconfirmed in anticipation of the weekend forecast. Banglamung District, being coastal and largely low-lying, is highly susceptible to flooding from rivers and canals during heavy downpours. Khao Mai Kaew is particularly known for recurrent flood incidents. The district chief's inspection and directives are crucial steps towards safeguarding the lives and property of the local population.
