Marcos Inspects Social Housing Project in Davao City

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday inspected a medium-rise socialized housing project in Barangay Calinan, Davao City. The visit was part of his swing into the Davao region, a day after he delivered his State of the Nation Address. The president arrived at People’s Ville in Riverside Calinan around 2:47 p.m., accompanied by Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince D. Bonoan and other officials. The project aims to provide affordable housing for low-income families, a key promise of the administration. Housing shortage remains a significant social issue in the Philippines, particularly in urban areas, where many citizens struggle to find safe and affordable dwellings. The Marcos administration has prioritized the provision of housing for its citizens. This socialized housing initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with local government units and the private sector, with the expectation of contributing to the improvement of the living standards of the populace. The president's inspection served as an opportunity to check the project's progress and affirm the government's commitment.
