Cambodia-Malaysia Hold Joint Committee Meeting to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Cambodia and Malaysia opened their third joint committee meeting on the morning of August 4, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was co-chaired by Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs Prak Sokhonn and his Malaysian counterpart, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan. During the meeting, both sides discussed the implementation of additional concrete measures to further deepen and broaden cooperation across numerous sectors, which are expected to provide new momentum to the robust and multi-faceted relations between Cambodia and Malaysia. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to continue strengthening and expanding cooperation in several priority areas, including trade, investment, agriculture, education, security, defense, labor, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant ministries and institutions of both countries, who will work closely together to ensure the effective implementation of the meeting's outcomes in the aforementioned key sectors. Following the conclusion of the discussions, the two co-chairs signed the minutes of the 3rd Joint Committee Meeting for Cambodia-Malaysia Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC), which serves as a roadmap to guide the future development of bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
