Cambodian Health Minister Praises Dengue Treatment Team for Quality and Hope

Minister of Health, Professor Chheang Ra, visited Jayavarman VII Hospital in Siem Reap to inspect the quality of pediatric and emergency services for dengue fever patients. He expressed gratitude and support for the medical team's dedication, emphasizing their commitment to quality, safety, and effectiveness in treating dengue fever. The Minister commended the hospital's medical staff for saving children's lives in Cambodia with "compassion, quality, and hope." He recognized Jayavarman VII Hospital as a paramount institution for rescuing dengue fever patients and pledged support for enhancing the quality of care. He affirmed that all children should have access to high-quality and equitable treatment. Furthermore, Minister Chheang Ra urged the National Center for Dengue Fever Control, in close collaboration with the medical team, to prioritize prevention, health education, and breaking the chain of transmission. This collaborative effort will involve close cooperation with Kuntha Bopha Hospital and local authorities. On the same day, the Minister also attended the closing ceremony of a practical training course held at Jayavarman VII Hospital. He met with trainees from five provinces: Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear, Banteay Meanchey, and Battambang, as well as their instructors. The Minister highly valued the trainees' participation and provided recommendations on treatment and care techniques for dengue fever patients, encouraging them to share their acquired knowledge with their respective teams.
