Cambodian Korean Association Marks 30th Anniversary, Eyes Increased Korean Investment

The Korean Association in Cambodia is set to hold its 30th-anniversary celebration at the end of August. According to the association, the event is expected to attract approximately 50 Korean companies, serving as a platform for them to explore further investment opportunities in Cambodia. This was revealed during a meeting on the afternoon of August 4th at the Cambodian Embassy in Seoul between Mr. Khuon Ponreak, Ambassador of Cambodia to the Republic of Korea, and Ms. Lee Hyun-ju, Vice President of the Korean Association in Cambodia, along with Mr. Lee Chang-hoon, Executive Director of Insan Coporation, and Mr. Alex C. Kim, Chief Operating Officer of Blue Earth Systems. During the meeting, Ms. Lee Hyun-ju invited Ambassador Khuon Ponreak to the 30th-anniversary celebration of the Korean Association in Cambodia, scheduled for late August. She stated that the event plans to invite high-ranking officials from both the Cambodian and Korean governments and will feature a business forum with the participation of around 50 Korean companies. Ms. Lee expressed her hope that this event will become a new platform for Korean investors to find partners and create investment opportunities in Cambodia. In response, Ambassador Khuon Ponreak thanked them for the invitation and acknowledged the significant role the Korean Association in Cambodia has played in maintaining bilateral relations between the two countries. He further added that the embassy is pleased to provide cooperation and facilitation for all investment projects that contribute to Cambodia's economic development.
