Bangkok Immigration Nabs Seven Foreign Overstayers in Khlong Sam Wa Sweep

BANGKOK, Thailand – Tourist Police have arrested seven foreign nationals in Bangkok’s Khlong Sam Wa district for immigration violations, including overstaying their permitted stay and allegedly entering Thailand without authorization. The operation was carried out by investigators from Tourist Police Division 1 as part of ongoing efforts to locate and take action against foreign nationals suspected of violating Thai laws. Police said the investigation followed reports of a group of foreign nationals living in the area without clear employment or legal status. Officers later inspected an area near The One Cargo Co., Ltd. on Pracha Ruam Jai Road, Sai Kong Din Tai subdistrict, where they found seven men. The group included six Nigerian nationals and one Senegalese national. Document checks found that four individuals had overstayed their visas for extended periods. Police detained all seven suspects and transferred them to Min Buri Police Station for legal proceedings. Authorities said immigration procedures, including possible deportation, will follow.
