On September 18, 2026, H.E. Sok Lu, Governor of Battambang Province, presided over a ceremony to award certificates of appreciation to outstanding students, top achievers, exemplary students, talented youth, athletes, and students with disabilities at Samdech Ov High School in Battambang city. During the event, H.E. Sok Lu advised all students to study diligently, stay away from drugs, respect traffic laws, maintain environmental hygiene, and dispose of waste properly. He emphasized that human resource development is crucial and essential for Cambodia's future. The Governor urged students to embrace technological subjects in the digital era, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is playing a significant role in changing lifestyles, work, and the overall development of the nation. Drawing from his recent visit to China, H.E. Sok Lu highlighted the importance of AI, stating that it can rapidly perform complex and time-consuming tasks, reduce human error, and shorten the time required for various duties.
