President Prabowo Subianto led a limited meeting on disaster management in Indonesia on Monday (7/9) afternoon. Prabowo led the meeting virtually from Merdeka Palace. Head of Bakom M. Since July 2, 2026, at 16:30 WIB, the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) has declared Mount Anak Krakatau at Level III or Alert. The activity of Mount Anak Krakatau increased on Friday (4/9) at 23:07 WIB. Lava flows were observed in the waters of the Sunda Strait. Ash plumes also reached affected areas such as Lampung, Banten, DKI Jakarta, and West Java. The activity of Mount Anak Krakatau has also impacted flight paths in the affected regions, with temporary closures for both international and domestic flights.
