Phnom Penh Administration Appeals for Public Support for Border Protection Forces

Phnom Penh City has issued an appeal to citizens and businesses for support for the military and police units engaged in border protection, coinciding with the traditional festivals celebrated at the end of September. The call aims to encourage the soldiers and police officers dedicated to defending the nation's borders and to support their endeavors. According to the statement, Phnom Penh City will dispatch a delegation at the end of September to visit units stationed in border areas, including the 3rd Intervention Division, the 9th Intervention Battalion, and the 793rd Border Protection Police Battalion in Preah Vihear province, as well as the 128th Intervention Battalion in the Ou Alay area of Siem Pang district, Stung Treng province. These forces are tasked with border security with a spirit of patriotism. To ensure the success of this visit, the city is requesting donations of cash, food, and other essential supplies from citizens, business people, investors, and philanthropists. These contributions will be used to support the soldiers and police on the front lines of the border, as well as for long-term strategic infrastructure development. This is in furtherance of the noble cause of protecting territorial integrity from invaders and developing border areas. Phnom Penh City expressed its confidence that citizens and businesses will respond to this appeal with a spirit of generosity and a commitment to upholding the culture of sharing and national brotherhood. Donations can be delivered to the Finance Department of Phnom Penh City Hall during working hours, with contact numbers provided for inquiries. Bank transfers are also accepted to the Phnom Penh Capital Hall's ABA bank accounts for both Cambodian Riel (KHR) and US Dollars (USD). This initiative highlights Cambodia's emphasis on border security and regional development.
