Specifically, on February 7, 2025, Thai forces reportedly installed container units, laid mines, and hoisted their national flag in the Thma Da area, located in Thma Da New Village, Thma Da Commune, Vear Sar District, Pursat Province. Furthermore, Thai military incursions have been reported in several other locations within Cambodia's sovereign territory, including the Boeung Trakoun area, Chokchey Village, Prey Chan Village, and various temple sites. Cambodia considers these actions to be grave violations of international law. In addition to territorial violations, the invading Thai soldiers have reportedly continued to construct permanent infrastructure, conduct religious ceremonies at temples that are Cambodian cultural and religious heritage, and have engaged in the destruction and replacement of religious statues. Despite repeated official protests from Cambodia, these activities persist. Cambodia reiterates its firm opposition to the Thai military's 'fait accompli' actions within Cambodian sovereign territory and unequivocally rejects any alteration of border lines through the use of force. The Cambodian government has strongly condemned and officially protested these aggressive actions, calling on the Thai side to respect international law and Cambodia's territorial integrity.
