Northern Thailand on Alert for Heavy Rain; Bangkok Forecasted for Scattered Showers

Thailand's Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rain, particularly in the northern regions, due to the strengthening southwest monsoon. Residents in the North are advised to be cautious of heavy rainfall and accumulated water. This is attributed to the intensified southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. Sea conditions in the upper Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand are expected to be moderate, with waves ranging from 1 to 2 meters. The lower Andaman Sea will see waves of approximately 1 meter. Areas experiencing thunderstorms may encounter waves exceeding 2 meters. Mariners are urged to exercise caution and avoid navigating in areas with thunderstorms. In Bangkok and its vicinity, there is a 30% chance of thunderstorms, primarily from the afternoon to the evening. The temperature will range from a low of 27-28 degrees Celsius to a high of 34-37 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow from the southwest at speeds of 10-20 km/h.
