Cambodia's Public Health Services Becoming More Attractive, Says Health Minister

Minister of Health, H.E. Prof. Chheang Ra, stated that public health services are becoming more attractive to citizens due to the diligent efforts of healthcare officials at all hierarchical levels. This was announced during the 130th Leadership and Innovation Training Course, held on the afternoon of September 1, 2026, with a total of 3,060 healthcare officials from all levels under the ministry's purview participating via video conference (Zoom). To commence, H.E. Prof. Minister reported on the positive outcomes of presenting the achievements in the health sector to the head of government, and shared these positive results with the healthcare officials who have worked together to strengthen the sector by enhancing care and treatment services for the citizens. Concurrently, H.E. Prof. Minister also reminded all health units to continue focusing on attracting citizen satisfaction with services and to organize mechanisms for more effective drug management. H.E. Prof. Minister delivered a lecture on embracing uncertainty and transforming it into a driving force for unity and shared responsibility in overcoming all difficulties. It should be noted that this session also featured two presentations. The Svay Chrum Health Center shared its experience in increasing the vaccination rate for measles and rubella (MR2), while the Poipet Provincial Referral Hospital presented its progress in providing health services, earning recognition as a model hospital at the CPA3 level.
