Mystery of Hazy Skies in Southern Vietnam: Meteorological Factors and Emissions Under Scrutiny

Authorities in Vietnam have presented initial analyses regarding the hazy skies observed recently in the southern region, including Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, and Ca Mau provinces. Meteorological agencies attribute the phenomenon partly to weather conditions such as weak winds and slight temperature inversions, which hinder the dispersion of air pollutants. However, they note that the haziness has not reached the level of dense fog, suggesting that weather factors alone may not fully explain the situation.
