Inspection of pesticide residues in chili powder to be continued

It has been learned from the Myanmar Fruit, Flower, Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association that inspections for pesticide residues will continue for the export of Myanmar's chili powder and dried chilies to Japan. It is understood that Japan will continue to inspect the content of pesticide residues in the import of red chili powder, dried chilies, and chili flakes produced in Myanmar. It is said that these food products will be tested in accordance with Japan's food safety orders and directives to ensure the safety of consumers, specifically regarding the total content of Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, and G2. Therefore, the Myanmar Fruit, Flower, Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association has notified traders of chili powder, dried chilies, and chili flakes to pay special attention to ensuring that their products meet the specified standards when exporting to Japan.
