Thanh Hoa Launches Tree Planting Campaign for 'Homeland Forest' Around Aeon Mall

In Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam, a tree planting campaign titled 'Homeland Forest' was launched on September 13 at the upcoming Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa in Quang Phu ward. This initiative embodies the message 'Sowing the Seeds of the Future,' reflecting the local authorities' and businesses' commitment to fostering community integration and environmental stewardship. Approximately 5,000 saplings of 18 native species, chosen for their suitability to the local natural conditions, were planted around the Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa site. These include hibiscus, jasmine, various palms, bougainvillea, and other ornamental and woody plants. This is a traditional activity conducted by Aeon Mall prior to the official opening of new commercial centers. Mr. Kobayashi Junichi, Deputy General Director of Aeon Mall Vietnam, stated, 'What we cherish is not just planting trees, but growing them together with the local community and developing in parallel. As a member of the local community, Aeon Mall Vietnam wishes to accompany Thanh Hoa for a long time and grow together in the future.' Mr. Mai Xuan Liem, Standing Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, expressed his pleasure at the strong participation of students and hailed the tree planting as a practically meaningful activity. He highly valued the orientation of developing Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa according to green building and sustainable development criteria. He anticipated that upon operation, Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa would not only be a modern commercial center but also an active community member, enhancing connections with local businesses, producers, and workers, prioritizing local products and services, and continuing to implement practical activities in environment, education, culture, and social responsibility. Provincial leaders further emphasized that Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa symbolizes the increasingly strong cooperative relationship between Thanh Hoa province and Aeon Corporation, as well as Japanese businesses and partners in general. They affirmed their continued commitment to accompanying and closely coordinating with Aeon Corporation and Aeon Mall Vietnam Co., Ltd. to facilitate the project's completion and safe, effective operation. Following the tree planting ceremony, delegates, over 200 students, teachers from educational institutions, and staff from healthcare facilities in Quang Phu ward participated in planting trees within the Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa premises, contributing to the creation of a green space for the benefit of the entire community.
