Cambodian Army Enhances Command Training with New Technologies

The Cambodian Army has initiated a command enhancement training course for commanders within the 14th Intervention Division (Poipet Province), aimed at fostering leaders capable of adapting to modern military technologies. The opening ceremony for this 2026 course took place on August 3, 2026, presided over by Major General Kim Sengngon, Commander of the 14th Intervention Division. During the event, Major General Kim Sengngon urged the trainees to diligently engage in learning and practice, focusing on the latest doctrines and training methods to align with contemporary advancements in military technology. He also emphasized the importance of internal solidarity and mutual assistance among soldiers, stressing the need to live and support each other as a collective unit under all circumstances. This, he noted, is crucial for enhancing the quality of the training and ensuring the integrity of the nation's territory. Beyond reviewing military tactics for modern warfare, the training program incorporates psychological education designed to boost morale and ensure soldiers are fully prepared for combat.
