Online 'Gangster' Sought by Police in Vietnam

Police in Bac Ninh province, Vietnam, are searching for Ho Van Khoa, 34, who allegedly accompanied online "gangster" Khanh Sky to the workshop of TikToker Vua Quat, where they engaged in abusive language and threats. Khoa is wanted to clarify information regarding alleged public order disturbances. According to a decision issued on July 31, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Bac Ninh Provincial Police stated that Khoa, originally from Soc Son district, Hanoi, and residing in Bac Ninh city, is currently whereabouts unknown. The police have requested that any agencies finding Khoa immediately report to the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department of Criminal Investigation. Three days prior to the current investigation, Khoa, along with Nguyen Van Hoi (also known as "online gangster" Khanh Sky) and several others, visited the production workshop of Mr. Tran Dinh Tiep (TikToker Vua Quat) in Tam Giang commune, Bac Ninh province. During the visit, Khanh Sky's group livestreamed for approximately 15 minutes, using abusive language, threats, and challenges directed at Vua Quat. In the video, Khanh Sky, while holding his phone to livestream, entered the workshop area and loudly demanded Vua Quat to come out and meet him. Khanh Sky was heard saying, "At worst, I'll go to jail, why should I be afraid?" The livestream attracted thousands of viewers and numerous interactions. Following the incident, Khanh Sky was summoned by the police for questioning. Khanh Sky, 34, from Hung Yen province, is widely known on social media for his videos involving abusive language and vulgarity directed at others. Khoa is also known on social media and referred to as an "online gangster" through his controversial videos. In 2014, Khoa was sentenced to 14 months in prison for asset appropriation by the former Soc Son District People's Court in Hanoi. In 2021, he was further sentenced to 39 months by the former Thanh Mien District People's Court in Hai Duong province for public order disturbances and intentional property damage. In the 2021 case, Khoa was accused of having a conflict with "online gangster" Duong Minh Tuyen. The two individuals had repeatedly exchanged insults and challenges on social media. On the evening of January 4, 2021, Khoa, armed with a gun and accompanied by accomplices, traveled from Hanoi to Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province.
