NUG Commanders Decide to Participate in SCEF's Military Strategy Coordination in Accordance with 3 Unity Principles

In the resistance against the military dictatorship, the commanders of the National Unity Government (NUG) have decided to participate in the military strategy coordination of the Federal Democratic Federal Union Formation Steering Council (SCEF) in accordance with the 3 unity principles, according to their statement. For this purpose, the NUG, the Ministry of Defence, the People's Defence Force (PDF), and the commanders held a meeting from August 3 to 6, for four days, and formulated plans for strategic participation in the SCEF's military strategy coordination as well as in the command committee. Furthermore, it was stated in the announcement released today, August 7, that the PDF commanders discussed and decided on plans to prepare for the transition from the "People's Resistance War" to a "Strategic Offensive" by collaborating with all relevant ethnic revolutionary forces in various military regions. Similarly, in accordance with the National Defence Strategy, regarding the plans approved in the previous commanders' meeting, 10 military regions, one division, the Joint Chief of Staff, the People's Security Bureau, the Operations Bureau, the Military Justice Office, and the Chief Military Affairs Officer's Office of the People's Defence Force submitted papers and discussed them. After that, while receiving guidance from the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Chief of Staff Officers and formulating future plans, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence also discussed the vision and strategies, with the attendance of NUG Interim President Duwa La Shi La and Prime Minister Maung Win Khaing Than. The SCEF is composed of the "K3C" alliance, which is resisting the military junta's coup d'état, namely the Kachin Independence Organisation (KIO), the Karen National Union (KNU), the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP), the Chin National Front (CNF), as well as members of the NUG, CRPH, and NUCC. Currently, the SCEF is holding discussions with the Spring Revolution Allied Forces (SRA), the Sagaing and Magway Federal Units, the Mandalay region government, the parliament, the Mon New Party (Anti-Military Dictatorship NMSP-AD), the Mon Federal Council (MSFC), the Mon Regional Advisory Council (MSCC), and others.
