Ocean Marina Jomtien Congratulates Re-elected Pattaya Mayor Poramet, Eyes Enhanced Cooperation

PATTAYA, Thailand – Ocean Marina Jomtien has reaffirmed its commitment to working with Pattaya City following the re-election of Poramet Ngampichet as Mayor of Pattaya, securing him another term as the city's chief executive. During a visit to Ocean Marina, Napong Paripontpochanapisuti, Managing Director of Ocean Property Co. Ltd., met with Mayor Poramet to congratulate him on his re-election and discuss opportunities for closer cooperation between Pattaya City and Ocean Marina. The meeting also brought together Scott Finsten, Harbour Master of Ocean Marina Jomtien, and Cyril Mas, General Manager of Ocean Marina Resort Pattaya Jomtien, who joined in welcoming the mayor and presented him with a basket of gifts. The meeting highlighted opportunities for continued cooperation in areas including tourism, marine recreation, sporting events, and initiatives that benefit both residents and visitors. Ocean Marina Jomtien, established in 1989, has developed into one of Asia’s leading marina destinations and describes itself as Southeast Asia’s largest marina, with more than 450 berths accommodating yachts of up to 75 metres. The marina also plays an active role in Pattaya’s marine and sporting calendar, hosting sailing competitions, cruising activities, international events, beach clean-ups, and industry networking programmes. Its 2026 calendar includes the Thailand OMJ Platu Championships and other sailing and community activities. Ocean Marina said it looks forward to strengthening its partnership with Pattaya City and supporting initiatives that enhance Pattaya’s position as an international destination for tourism, marine leisure, and sporting events. The meeting follows Ocean Marina’s recent engagement with local government, including a meeting with newly elected Na Jomtien Municipality Mayor Phinyo Sainapha to discuss cooperation on community initiatives and local development. With Pattaya continuing to develop its tourism, events, and waterfront economy, closer cooperation between the city and major private-sector marine operators such as Ocean Marina could play an important role in promoting the destination and strengthening its international profile.
