The man, a resident of Kanan village, was arrested by the military on July 20 while going to buy diesel fuel on the Indian border side. "He is a farmer in the village and went to buy the fuel needed for his business in Aivomjang village on the Indian side. When he reached Kammarji, soldiers arrested him," a local resident close to him told the Ayeyarwaddy Times. When the man was arrested, members of the military-affiliated forces surrounded and beat him, and as they were preparing to kill him, a drone from a revolutionary organization flew overhead, causing the man to escape. "While they were preparing to kill him, drones from the revolutionary forces flew in. The soldiers fled in fear of the drones. At that time, he also escaped and regained his freedom while his hands were tied," another person close to him told the Ayeyarwaddy Times. It is reported that the Chin man who escaped is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries on the Indian side.
