Iran Allegedly Attacks US Military and Data Centers in Bahrain
Iran's Revolutionary Guard claims to have attacked Amazon's data center and US military radar sites in Bahrain with missiles. The action is described as retaliation for US strikes on Iranian facilities, signaling escalating military tensions between the US and Iran in the region.
Iran's Revolutionary Guard claimed on July 21 that its air force had attacked and destroyed the central data infrastructure of the American tech giant Amazon in Bahrain using multiple guided missiles. The Guard also stated in a declaration that American air defense systems and radar sites in the Muharraq and Riffa regions of Bahrain were also attacked during their operation. These attacks occurred amidst escalating direct military confrontations between the US and Iran, despite diplomatic efforts and communication exchanges between the two countries. While Washington has intensified its attacks on Iranian infrastructure, Tehran has warned that if these operations continue, it will attack infrastructure and sites in regional countries used by American forces. US President Donald Trump had warned of a high price for Iran for the recent deaths of three American soldiers in Jordan and Iraq. In its statement, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard explained that its attacks were in response to what it called American military aggression against civilian facilities under construction in Dakhovain. Concurrently, Iran's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna issued a statement calling on the International Atomic Energy Agency and the UN Security Council to condemn the US attack on the civilian nuclear center under construction in Dakhovain. On July 17, two American soldiers were killed in an Iranian attack on the MUWAFFAQ SALTI Air Base or AZRAQ Base in Jordan. Another American soldier remains missing following these attacks, while another American soldier died in northern Iraq. Iran has intensified its attacks on Jordan, which it considers an agent of the United States and Israel. Iran's attack on Jordan also demonstrates its military capability to launch ballistic missiles over 1,000 kilometers from its border. Iran's Supreme Leader had previously warned of giving more unforgettable lessons if the US continues to attack Iran, warning that these lessons would be for not only the US but also for its allied friends in the region.
