India's Wipro Consumer Acquires Philippines' S Brands, Eyes International Expansion
India's Wipro Consumer Care announced its acquisition of Philippines' S Brands Consumer Care, signaling an intent to expand the brand's products into international markets like the Middle East and exploring Philippine companies' overseas market potential.
INDIA’s Wipro Consumer Care said it acquired the Philippines’ S Brands Consumer Care, Inc., citing its potential to expand to international markets. Nagender Arya, Wipro Consumer president for East Asia and chief operating officer for the group’s international business division, said it is looking to bring S Brands’ products to markets like the Middle East. “We have a large Filipino diaspora there who know the brand. After this, we will take these brands to the other markets and the local teams will evaluate as per local needs,” he told reporters on Tuesday. S Brands makes personal care products like KERATINplus. The Indian conglomerate took over the Philippines’ Splash Corp. in 2019. Splash’s brands include SkinWhite, MaxiPeel, and Vitress.
