Vietnam Focuses on Innovation to Elevate National Brand Value
Vietnam is advancing its national brand strategy, positioning innovation and technological capabilities as the foundation for enhancing brand value and competitiveness. The digital application in agriculture and tourism sectors is particularly highlighted.
Vietnam is positioning innovation and technological capabilities as crucial foundations for enhancing national brand value and competitiveness. This was emphasized by experts at the 'Brand Strategy and Competition 2026 Forum' held in Hanoi on September 23. The forum discussed themes such as accelerating production and export activities, improving the value of agricultural products based on digital platforms, and creating new drivers for tourism growth in the central region. These initiatives are considered essential for Vietnam's sustained economic growth and strengthened competitiveness in the international market. In particular, the adoption of digital technologies is seen as key to overcoming challenges in traditional agricultural exports and developing high-value products for the global market. In the tourism sector, the use of digital platforms for promotion and service improvement is also expected to significantly contribute to regional economic revitalization. These innovation-driven strategies are part of Vietnam's economic development model under its one-party system, aiming to upgrade domestic industries and establish an international brand image. In its relations with China, while maintaining economic interdependence, Vietnam appears to be seeking to enhance its economic independence through independent technological development and brand building. The forum also shared success stories in domestic brand development, such as Mộc Châu Milk being recognized as a Vietnam National Brand for the third time. This serves as evidence that Vietnamese enterprises are gaining consumer trust and increasing their international competitiveness through quality improvement and innovation.
