To realize these strategic objectives, accelerating the implementation of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation is an urgent priority. Specific initiatives include supporting citizens in adopting digital transformation in their businesses, promoting smart hospitals built on digital medical data platforms in the healthcare sector, and focusing on semiconductor production and packaging, an area identified by Japanese experts as crucial for future growth. Under its one-party system, Vietnam pursues long-term industrial policies led by the state, with digital transformation being positioned as a new driver for economic growth. While China remains a significant economic partner, Vietnam is also diversifying its supply chains.
