Cambodia's Ministry of Environment Backs World Vision International's Efforts to Boost Community Livelihoods Through Green Campaigns

The Ministry of Environment of Cambodia has expressed its full support for the activities of World Vision International Cambodia in improving community livelihoods and strengthening resilience to climate change through green campaigns. During a working meeting on July 27, 2026, at the Ministry of Environment, His Excellency Dr. Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, stated that partner organizations in Cambodia have fully supported the Ministry's environmental sector strategy for a clean, green, and sustainable future. His Excellency the Minister highly commended the actions of World Vision, which are not only protecting the environment but also helping community members generate additional income and build resilience to climate change through tree planting and forest conservation. On this occasion, Dr. Than Thi Ha, acting Country Director of World Vision Cambodia, stated that World Vision will continue to cooperate with the Ministry of Environment to further strengthen cooperation in building resilient local communities to climate change. This involves linking environmental protection with increasing local economic income by encouraging people to conserve and protect forests, reforest, and create livelihoods other than putting pressure on forests. This work will help improve the living standards of the people and ensure a sustainable life.
