Thailand Accelerates Infrastructure Development in Ratchaburi to Ease Traffic and Enhance Inter-Provincial Connectivity

Thai Transport Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakarn conducted an on-site inspection in Ratchaburi province to assess the progress of infrastructure development. The minister instructed the Department of Highways and the Department of Rural Roads to expedite repairs on aging bridges and to resolve traffic bottlenecks. The inspection specifically focused on the advancement of the road network known as 'Tri Buriratchaya.' This network connects three provinces, including Ratchaburi. Enhancing its functionality is expected to invigorate the regional economy, attract tourists, and further strengthen its role as a gateway to Thailand's southern region. Specifically, renovation work to ensure the safety of aging bridges and improvement measures for major roads causing traffic congestion will be considered. This is anticipated to enhance the convenience of daily life for local residents, streamline logistics, and facilitate smoother travel for tourists. Minister Pipat indicated that these infrastructure developments are a crucial step in transforming Ratchaburi province from a mere transit point into a developed and attractive city, maximizing its potential as a tourist destination.
