22 males and one female PDF members rejoined the legal fold with arms and ammunition

It is reported that 22 male and one female PDF members rejoined the legal fold with arms and ammunition on the evening of July 24. A ceremony to hand them over to their guardians was held on the evening of July 24 at the Tanyanaung Hall of the Coastal Region Military Headquarters. Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo, Commander Major General Kyaw Kyaw Han, responsible officials, and the PDF members who rejoined the legal fold along with their guardians attended the ceremony. At the ceremony, Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo delivered an opening speech, and Commander Major General Kyaw Kyaw Han delivered speeches regarding regional stability, peace, and legal provisions. Subsequently, those who rejoined the legal fold surrendered two M-16 rifles, six homemade single-barrel guns, two MG-1 hand grenades, one radio set, three magazines, and 196 rounds of various ammunition. The Region Chief Minister and the Commander received these items. Following this, the Region Chief Minister and the Commander presented rewards totaling 368 million kyats to those who rejoined the legal fold with arms and ammunition: 100 million kyats for two automatic rifles, 30 million kyats for six homemade single-barrel guns, 600,000 kyats for two hand grenades, 200,000 kyats for one radio set, and 100 million kyats each for the 23 individuals who rejoined, totaling 230 million kyats. They then had them sign pledge forms and handed them over to their guardians. It was reported that those who rejoined the legal fold with arms/ammunition included eight males from Myeik Township, seven males and one female from Dawei Township, four males from Tanintharyi Township, one male from Palaw Township, one person from Palauk Township, and one male from Lashio Township in Shan State (North), totaling 23 individuals. It was learned that those wishing to rejoin the legal fold will be welcomed and provided with necessary assistance if they quickly contact and report to their nearest district/township administrative bodies, military camps, and police stations. Rewards will also be provided for arms/ammunition.
