SRI RACHA, Thailand – A shooting incident in Bo Win, Sri Racha district left one person dead and two others injured following a dispute during a card game, with the suspect later surrendering to police at the scene. At around 12:30 p.m. on July 1, police at Bo Win Police Station were alerted to a shooting at a rental room behind Grace Christian School, Bo Win sub-district. Officers led by investigators rushed to the scene along with senior police officials and rescue teams. At the location, police found Saiyut, 43, the suspected gunman, sitting at the scene and waiting to turn himself in. Officers also found three victims, all Myanmar nationals. One victim, identified as Aung Min, 40, died after being shot in the head, with the bullet exiting through the skull. A female victim, Ms. Zar Tun, 39, sustained a gunshot wound under the right rib cage with a bullet lodged in her body and was rushed to Laem Chabang Hospital for treatment. Another male victim, Myo, 35, suffered a grazing gunshot wound to his right hand and sustained minor injuries. According to police, the suspect admitted that the group had been playing a card game since the previous day. He reportedly lost money and returned after finishing his work shift. When he arrived, the game had already ended, but he invited the group to play again. The suspect claimed that the Myanmar nationals looked at him in a mocking manner, which angered him. He then allegedly retrieved a modified 9mm firearm and opened fire, striking both male and female victims before remaining at the scene and surrendering to authorities.
