Indonesian Election Commission Urges Perindo Party on Party Data Updates

The Indonesian Election Commission (KPU) has stressed the importance of regularly updating party member data to the Perindo Party. This measure aims to ensure transparency and accuracy in the electoral process. The "Bimtek" (technical guidance and training) provided an opportunity for the political party to deepen its understanding of the essential procedures required to meet the election management body's requirements and facilitate the smooth conduct of elections. The KPU pointed out that maintaining the accuracy and currency of political party registrations leads to the reliability of voter lists and the legitimacy of election results. Accurate management of member data is particularly crucial during election periods when party activities intensify. Indonesia has a multitude of political parties, and accurately ascertaining the organizational base and membership numbers of each party is a critical factor in guaranteeing the fairness of elections. The KPU intends to continue similar guidance for other political parties in the future.
