DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency Building Catches Fire, Cause Under Investigation
A large fire broke out Friday evening at the DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) building in Central Jakarta. Approximately 100 firefighters and 20 fire trucks were deployed, but the blaze was not immediately extinguished, and the cause is under investigation.
A major fire erupted on Friday evening, August 7, at the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) Building of the Special Capital City of Jakarta (DKI). The incident occurred at the Bapenda office located on Jalan Abdul Muis, South Petojo, Gambir, Central Jakarta. The fire department received information about the blaze through the 112 alert channel at 9:30 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Initially, two fire trucks were dispatched to the scene. However, due to the intensity of the fire, approximately 20 fire trucks and 100 personnel were deployed to control the situation. Residents in the vicinity gathered to witness the event, with some recording and photographing the scene on their mobile phones. The fire caused traffic disruptions along Jalan Abdul Muis.
