Provisional Government Forces Surrender and Captured Soldiers Total 467 in June

Ayeyarwaddy Times July 10 Soldiers, People's Militia, and police force members under the provisional government forces have surrendered to or been captured by revolutionary forces totaling 467 individuals during the month of June, according to a release from "People's Goal." A total of 323 soldiers were captured, with 174 captured during battles in Rakhine State. Among the captured soldiers, 231 were soldiers, 91 were People's Militia, and one police force member was also captured. Furthermore, 120 soldiers surrendered during the June battles, with 100 surrendering from Magway Region, 16 from Karen State, and 4 from Sagaing Region, according to the release. In Magway Region, during the operation named "Operation Su" conducted from June 2 to 4, revolutionary forces were able to seize the Raypyar police station and the Kukko Su Pyu Saw Htee station. Over 50 soldiers were captured from the military side, and 55 small arms were seized. Additionally, 24 soldiers defected and joined the revolutionary forces, with 11 from Magway Region, four from Chin State, four from Sagaing Region, three from Karen State, and one from Tanintharyi Region. According to data collected from January 2025 (sic) to June 2026 (sic), the total number of defectors, surrenders, and captured soldiers to the revolutionary forces has reached 3678, according to releases from "People's Goal."
